Arctic Fresh Water Bulge Emerging
A team of British scientists using European Space Agency data have detected a dome of fresh water in the western Arctic Ocean ranging some 8,000 cubic kilometres.

Reports emerge that Norway is considering blocking China's candidacy for observer status at the Arctic Council in the wake of diplomatic tensions following the award of a Nobel Peace Prize to a Chinese activist.
